The Labour Party candidate in the Edo State governorship election, Olumide Akpata, has cast his vote.
Akpata who arrived around 10:30 am at the polling unit 11, ward 6 in Oredo Local Government Area, expressed satisfaction with the voting process and expressed hope that it would be the same all over the state.
He stated that his supporters should be allowed to cast their votes as the exercise continues.
At the ward, electorates came out in their large numbers despite the rainfall that started around 10 am in the state capital.
